Which brand of DVD player you have ?

Hi Buddies , I bought samsung DVD player last year and its working good but it is on compatible with my Tv brand which is LG.Also it has problem playing scratch DVDS whereas a friend of mine have ONIDA plays that all well... So which brand of DVD player you have ?

I have a cheap Wal-mart brand that plays everything - its called cyberhome. I had a Sony and a Samsung that would only play normal dvd's and cd's. This Cyberhome one will play normal ones, recorded ones, scratched ones, it'll play anything and it only cost me 30 dollars.

yes i pretty much agree with you. Grey-market local brands will be quite handy when compared to compatibility and flexibility.here we can get DVDs for less than 20 $. Branded players are mostly disk-sensitive

The only disadvantage is that I have to go out to the TV with composite. The component output is non-functional. I don't really mind though.

BTW it plays PAL as well as NTSC - not that I find too many PAL discs here. But if I did.....
