Are you using a laptop or a desktop right now?

Do you walk around the house going from spot to spot on your laptop? Or are you stable in one place in your office typing away. I am on a laptop but I believe if I was on a desktop I wouldn't be here as long as I do. With this laptop I am in the bed in the living room in the bathroom. I mean it gets rediculous. I think I need a desktop to cut down on this. What are you using?

I have a laptop, it's stored near my "futon" (I have a Japanese style room,so it's almost like sleeping on the floor). I tend to use it a lot (sometimes, I don't turn it off for two or three days straight) since it's the first thing i see when I wake up. I had a desktop at the office before, but I considered it inefficient as it takes way too much space.

Sorry for going off subjectbut, you have a japanese style room?? You mean tatami floorings and sliding dividers and a big window with a clear view outside?

Well, it is indeed close and does feel like one. That's nice! The view can't be helped but, the garden makes up for the buildings, for me that is

the closest thing to a Japanese style room, the door is sliding, but the flooring isnt wood, but not exactly tile either (a combination of both, I guess, so it won't get too cold), and the tables are all japanese (the low ones),and the cabinets too, no clear view of the outside, since it's manila (i see tall buildings...puts a damper on things), but it's next to a little garden. :p

I'm on a laptop right now, we have a desktop also, but I prefer the Laptop. I like the fact that I can Q&A for my bed. LOL, I don't know about the bathroom just yet, it's not that serious:-) Now I understand why you're doing big things, you're an addict. LMAO:-)

We have a desk top, situated in the study. I am thinking of getting a lap to too though. They are so handy. I would most probably take it to bed with me every night.

I have a desktop, but I desperately want a laptop. My son hates that I am on the computer so much and I would love to be able to go sit outside with him while I work and he can play in the grass. And sometimes, since I am massively pregnant, it would be nice to be able to lay back on the bed and put my feet up a bit!

Always use my desktop but want a laptop soon. With the kids sometimes it is hard to get in here and on the computer. If I had a laptop id be able to use it anywhere that they are.

I am using a desktop, because I want my information to be secure on a desktop better than a laptop. Of course, laptops are easy to handle and can be carried everywhere, but not as safe and secure as a desktop. I had a course in networking security stating that hackers can reveal all your information and passwords from a laptop, better than they can a desktop. I normally stay in my bedroom which has my desktop on my computer desk.

I have a laptop but I find that I still tend to sit in the same spot mostly...at my desk. But, I do move to other areas occasionally and would hate to be tied to this one spot. (Actually, some days I agree it would be easier to stay off it if I *HAD* to stay in this spot with it.)

Right now i am using my brother's laptop. he left it with me for the long weekend as he is not in the mood to wrok from home anyway. I think i will need to go get myself a laptop too. It is always more convenient to have one actually. I move around with it and everything is just great with a laptop. Usually i am on a desktop though. wherever i am, or what i am using, i still am hooked to the internet. hehe

I'm using my laptop. You are right, I cannot stay for hours if I am not using this stuff. My desktop gives me a hard headache when I stay longer. Mylot is becoming so addicting to me since this month. haha!

Hello kynni. I am using my laptop, but I have to use a cable wire to use it. It is always put on my table though sometimes I use it on my bed when it is very cold in winter. I am used to using a laptop, not a desk computer. I am not used to typing words on the keyboard of a desk computer. It makes me feel like a computer learner ABC. lol

I use a desktop, although I would love a laptop!! It just wasn't finacially possible at the time I wanted to get a PC. My best mate has a laptop and I can see how addictive it can be, especially if you have wireless internet with it. I have quite grown to like sitting down in almost a work state of mind at my Pc and getting on with things, rather than feeling like i'm slobbing out in bed with it on my lap all day!! Theres plus sides to both desk tops and laptops but I think for the time being I will be happy the way I am!! xox

I am using a laptop at the moment since I am not home. When I am home, it depends. If I'm watching the news or a basketball game in the living room, I'll probably be using my laptop. If I am in the office, I'll be using a desktop. Occasionally, I'll be preparing for work or responding to work emails on my laptop while checking myLot, Facebook and some other sites on my desktop!
