PS2 Online Pro Wrestling Game Set for Japan Release

Now that Japanese developer Yuke’s has has finished making WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain for THQ, it has an even bigger wrestling project in the works in its home country. Online Pro Wrestling is exactly that: a SmackDown-style PS2 wrestling game in which players can create original grapplers in a detailed edit mode and then battle one another online. The game supports the PS2 Network Adaptor and hard drive for online matches and exchanging user-created content, but so far, it’s scheduled for release only in Japan. It’s due out next spring.
