he is a hero in a sense that he gives honor to the country with his talent in boxing. But for me... i dont want to emulate him. He is an airhead. Imagine, he is not contented with God's gift to him, his wins in boxing. He een aspire to run in congress which an entirely different arena. Law making is not about exhanging punches but real mind works. I dont think Pacman has the caliber of a congressman. If he trully wants to help. He doesnt need to be in power just to serve. For me this move that he is doing is an utter display of avarice and pride. He may win the congressional seat. but what kind of laws can he make when he hasnt even finished college and never experience public service down to his barangay. Our source of pride who is manny can also be our source of shame if he persist in doing this. Thus, he is no real hero to me. Coz a hero is selfless.

I hope Manny would be able to figure out that being popular and having lots of money doesn't guarantee that will make you effective in the congress. He's good at boxing and he should concentrate on that one first. Anyway, he's still young to do what he wants. In boxing, I really do consider him as our "hero" in a sense that he's able to encourage us to be strong and face the hardships that are coming our way. Not the punches, of course.

Hi blogrules! Welcome to myLot! For the topic, I think he can be considered a hero. Because, a hero for me is someone who acts as a role model or an icon that will keep us going and have courage to face anything. Like he did. He faced Solis with courage and preparation.
