My religion is the best religion! I claim that everyone else is wrong!

How can you say that Christianity or Islam or whatever is the right religion? I think the only person who can do this is one who has studied all the major religions, or the omnipotent god. Do you truly believe your religion is right? have you even studied any other religion that is not in your branch? does your religion make sense to you with no contradictions at all? do you believe in everything your religion says?

For me my religion is a perfect fit. It isn't for everyone. I don't think there is just one true religion and the others are wrong.I haven't really studied all other religions but I am always open to learn about other religions.I think there may be contradictions in all religions but that doesn't mean you shouldn't believe in it.As long as you believe in the main message of your religion.I always say find a religion that you can follow and be faithful.

if you were to tell me about your religion, i would probably be able to debunk some contradictions and illogical faith. thats why you should study before you choose.

My understanding of the many religions in the world is maybe not complete, but... I was always under the impression that only the various sects of Christianity believed they had a grip on a singular truth. In other words, only Christians believe that their faith is the only right religion. Judaism for example: In the Torah there are 613 mitzvot (commandments) that are binding only to Jews. In Islam, the Qu'ran states "...[T]hose who believe (in the message of Islam), and the Jews, the Sabaeans, and the Christians - all those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and act righteously - no fear shall come upon them..." [5:69] Buddha said not to believe in anything before deciding for yourself that it was true. And the world's religions go on and on. Only in the Christian Bible (the New Testament, that is, as the Old Testament is the Torah which is, essentially, the Jewish Bible) is there any hint that one way is the only way, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." [John 14:6, New International Version] Personally, I'm a Wiccan Jew. (If you want a full explanation of that, ask. I'll be more than happy to explain.) So no, I don't believe my religious path is the only one. It's the only one that is right for me at this juncture in my life but I see spirituality and religion as fluid. As you evolve, your faith and beliefs and need for such tools are going to evolve. I've studied many religions and what I've found is that there's at least one grain of universal truth in all of them. There are also contradictions running the gamut. There's nothing inherently wrong in contradictions, though.

Everyone believes their own faith is right, but not all people necessarily believe they're the only one's who're right and even then not all of the people who believe they're the only one's who're right are jerks about it. I don't think ANYONE can study ALL of the religions, because face it..there have been ALOT. I have studied many, and don't intend to stop til the day I kick the bucket..and even then, if it's possible I'll keep studyin' 'em. I mean, my whole life all I've strove to do is to understand..and there ARE many truths, many beautiful things in the many, many religions and faith-systems of the world. In the different cultures which they're apart of. Of course my faith makes sense to me, I haven't found any contradictions so far..to be honest, I probably wouldn't have chosen (or did the path choose me? Lol) it had I been able to find any kinks or inconsistancies. I do believe in everything my faith says, but being pagan that means I have a good mixture of things from a great many aspects of life..from history, from different faiths, etc..I have always believed in what was logical, what made sense to me. In stuff I could find some kind of backing for -- anyone pretty much can find a backing for whatever they believe in, so no..I don't believe I'm special. That my particular beliefs are the ONLY way. I always thought..spirituality, can only be defined by the individuals..and so it'll always be different no matter how you look at it. Like looking inside a kaliedascope..connected, similiar..but inevitably different and seperate at the same time. The world does make sense in how it doesn't, heh..so I accept what others believe. I wish everyone could accept eachother, respect eachother..since everyone deserves those two things..but, far be it for me to tell folks what to do or how to act and treat others right?

i said "major" religions i agree with what you say, the world would be a much better place if people didnt impose their religions, however, it is impossible because children get imposed by their parents all the time.

How can you tell a blind man that see's he cant see anymore? Or a cripple that walks he's not walking? You can ask them how and they cant tell you all the answers but all they know is they were once blind but now they see or once couldnt walk but now they can. If your looking for all the answers good luck!!! But I do agree with you that religion sucks! I just cant go without Jesus.

Yes you right in your own sense,i or anybody can't claim his religion is the best. But as far Islam is concerned and as muslim i feel it is a true religion,it makes sense or not is not the question if i am a true and say Islam is true i have to accept every thing no questions of ifs and buts.

I study just about every religious source I can get my hands on, no matter what religion it's from. I devour knowledge, oh fear me the great knowledge-muncher. =p No, considering how many religions have overlaps and common ideas, similar moral stances, and even myths and stories that line up, I cannot imagine anyone saying one religion is right and all others are wrong. I simply can't comprehend not being able to see the value in any religion. I truly believe that my religion is right for me. I believe that my Gods exist, and that other Gods exist or could exist as well. I believe that my religious beliefs came to me for a reason, and that my relationship with my Gods is genuine. However, that "other Gods exist or could exist as well" also means that I believe my relationship with my Gods being geniune doesn't make anyone else's relationship with their own God or Gods false. And I don't believe that it is possible for any one religion, including mine, to contain every piece of truth there is in the universe. There are parts of my religion that I don't take literally, and parts of it that simply don't apply when taken out of the context of the culture in which it first existed. I believe that is the case of all religions. It is sometimes impossible to separate religious and cultural influences, and it causes a lot of strife because people will say "But this religion says" when it fact it's not the religion but specific people who followed that religion at a specific time in history who are saying these things.

The only way we can enter into Eternal Life is thru God's Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came to die for the sins of the entire world. He paid the price. No one else ever did this. Plus, He is the Son of the Living God. Mohammad, Buddah, etc...none of these people were the Son of God, nor did they ever know you or die for your sins. Only Christ Himself did this. Only He loves us more than we can ever imagine. It was God's greatest demonstration of His awesome love for us. God bless.

It is not a fairy tale and you should be so thankful that it is not. Jesus is very real and His love is very real. It's tragic to find someone who does not know the Lord. God be with you.

I am against any organized religion. BUT after having studied different religions of the world I believe there is only one true way. I'm choosing not to go into it just now. We aren't going to really know for sure until the end, either when we die or if there is a manifestation of truth in a single God.

I don't believe my religion is RIGHT, only right for me. I grew up Catholic, learned about and became Wiccan, and have learned bits of other religions. It seems to me that most of the ones I've looked into mostly have the same central message, "love each other". Wicca doesn't hold any contradictions to me that I can think of right off the top of my head but others may feel so. Our central "law", or Rede as we call it, is "An it harm none, do what you will." Some people seem to have trouble correctly interrpreting that which can cause some contradictions. After all, how can you join the military knowing you may have to kill someone in battle and still reconcile with the Rede? How far should you go with it? Just by breathing we kill millions of bacteria and such and isn't that harm? I've answered these and many other questions like these along the way but again, I won't claim that my answers are the "right" ones somehow. The only religion I've run into so far that I just can't understand very well is Satanism. "True" Satanism isn't about sacrificing animals, worshipping the "Devil", and so on, as I understand it, but it does seem to advocate being selfish and taking advantage of others which I have a hard time with. But maybe I just don't know enough about it either, who knows? I agree. Each person should seriously consider which religion is right for them. Does it make you a better person? Do you feel closer to whoever you worship as Divinity? Does it give you some kind of moral structure that you're happy with? Are you able to happily and healthily follow it's tenants in day to day life?

Yes, I admit that I don't understand Satanism and so I can't honestly claim anything about it. If you are comfortable with having no God then so be it. I won't argue you out of it. Many people find it beneficial to believe in some form of higer being, though, and I see no reason to ridicule them for their beliefs either.

Religious turmoil is simply the argument over who has a better imaginary friend. You can say anything you want about a god or deities, but the moment that you are willing to kill for something that can't be proven, then you have entered into very dangerous territory.

My religion is the right one for me. Do I believe in all it says? For the most part yes, but I also take some of with a grain of salt as it was developed many many centuries ago when life was very different. I think you need to do that with all religions. I mean we certainly don't sacrifice our oxen any more. I have studied other religions, both western and eastern. And I like some of the teachings of the eastern religions but I do not wish to be that religion. I do not like Islam and I have way to many problems with christianity/catholism. I like the community my religion offers. I like the traditions. I like how its not just a religion, but a way of life. Now i am not saying everyone else is wrong. I am just saying that my religion is right for me.

there were times when social conduct was governed by religeous leaders. it was then that each religeon had its commandments written! today no religeon has meaning, there should be one common religeon- humanity. that is one religeon nobody practices when it comes to global peace.
