Your Dream House

Do you live in your own home now? Do you own a house? Or do you plan to build a house of your own? What are your dreams about your own house? How much you know about the construction of a house or how much you want to/like to involve in the construction of your own house?Recently I planned to construct my own house and the initial work started. I have very special ideas of my own about my house. I would like to hear others views on this. Please share your thoughts..

I would most certainly love to build my own home, but financially, it probably would never happen. I do however plan on purchasing a home after our vacation in July of this year. I want it to be hopefully on a little land, so that my neighbor is not right on top of me. At least 3 bedrooms (preferably 4) 2 baths at least, basement, large kitchen, dining room etc. I just want my kids to have a yard to play in and a home to call their own. We owned a home before we moved out of state, but it's been five very long years in apartments now.

You might have heard the saying "if there is a will, there is a way". Till recently I don't have a will to build my own home. Now also I am not financially sound enough to build one. But when I got a pretty little bulk money in my hand from my work I thought of starting with foundation and basement. I've only that much money with me now. So I thought of completing up to that level. My architect friend made a simple design for me with 3 bath attached bedrooms, a kitchen and a big hall-c*m-dining area. Now I have to mobilize fund to complete it. Thinking of taking loan from bank and when my kids are grown up they too could help me in repaying the loans. So I just started...
I think you too could do it... fly up as a phoenix. Wish you all the best.

my ideal dream house would be on the bank of a Waterfront. Somewhere i can spend my days relaxing and admiring the beauty of nature from from every window of my home. The fast pace world, stress and worries of everyday life in the cities would be left behind.
