Okay, I'm joking. This post is really about pet peeves. I'm so tired of seeing these three-word questions, sometimes unintelligibly phrased (i.e., "What crayons are?") It's not that I'm intolerant of folks who speak/type English as a second language, it's just that I'm intolerant of folks and their blatant attempts at boosting their score with these "garbage" posts. I was just wondering what some of my fellow myLotters consider their pet peeves, with respect to the site itself. It can be anything. C'mon, I know you have 'em. Swing away, Merrill!

word is the unit of language that carries meanings and consists of one or more morphoems which are linked more or less tightly together and has a phonetical value. typically a word will consists of root or stem and zero or more affixes. words can be combined to form phrases, clauses, sentances. a word consists of two or more stems joined together is called a compound. hey dear, this is the real definition for word. u have given a nice topic of discussion. mark best responce if u like it. thanks

I have to say, vinii, your reply is poetic. Ha ha! I was just joking around, but thank you for taking the time to answer me anyway. I really like your avatar, by the way, very creative. :)

Ohhh, here's my biggest one, People who take your discussion, completely and copy and paste it as a response. I hate this, it bugs me to no end, and i always report them, but usually, MyLot doesn't seem to give a damn, it just makes me so mad, and it's odd, because i even see people with way under 500 points doing this, how the heck do they do this without being able to copy and paste? i mean, they could have just typed in their own response, i swear, i think there's a way around the no copy and paste under 500 rule, i don't know, oh i get so frustrated, you should check it out, many of my discussions have this... infact another one just the other day happened. OI!

You know, I saw someone do that to one of my disucssions and had no idea what was up. I thought the person was using it as a quote, at first, but he didn't add anything of his own, just copied and pasted my every word. Wow, that's annoying!

My pet peeve is when someone responds rudely to a discussion or response. You know that if you don't care or like what someone has said that it is alright to disagree with a discussion here but do it in a right way. Don't put them down or put something ridicouls as a response. Most people come here looking for advice and a little help and I think it is only common courtsey to answer in a proper way. And I have seen these kind of responses my self. Not on my discussion but on others and that is not nice to do.

Right on, sunshinelady! I couldn't agree more. I've used a lot of message boards over the years and I've seen some pretty terribly stuff in the way that people treat one another. Thankfully, thus far, I haven't found too many hostiles here, but I'm sure I'll bump into one or two before long.

I had one rude remark in all my roaming around on my discussions and responses that I have seen. I did also see a very rude response on another discussion and I always read all the responses and no one like what this person said to the person who started the discussion. I can't remember which one it was but I was happy to see that others did as I did and replyed to the person who did the response that that was not nice and if he got 20 posts that he would be lucky because he just had to use cuzzing. Other people commented on this also. Some people just don't know how to treat people. But most of the members offer good advice and are compassionate people.
