Do you follow the Golden Rule in your own life?

"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."I try to follow this but depending on the person. I think we can be selective about how we apply it to others. It depends on how they act. When you step back from time to time and see others who act morally, you can reach out to others who are good. But when you see people who you don't want to be involved with, I think you can step away from them. I think I got a lot of my ideas about this from society. You can take a look at people you want to affiliate yourself with and get along with. But there are those who you don't want to get involved with because they're not up to par morally and with values that people should take into consideration.

i do follow the golden rule because i believe in the universal law and it works for me several times.it is also the same as being careful for what you have wished for or be careful of your thoughts because it will come true.

Yes. I make it a point that I follow the rule much as I taught it to my children. We don't want to be lied and as much as possible we avoid lying. Anything you have done to others will get back to you twofolds. That's the best rule in life and if people will follow it by heart the world will be a peaceful place for all of us.
