Yes I know her ,now she is more popular all over the world.She was in my school in st'anthony's .She has worked in many Indian "bollywood" films.She was not so suceesful in her career;but now has a good chance after 'Bigbrother' to work in both Indian and foriegn films.

that was a classic case of kiss and tell... AID awarness was the cause......any girl would liked to be kissed by Richard Gere........

It must have been a dream come true for shilpa shetty also worth loads of publicity.As far as the media glare is concerned..the public reaction in India ws totally uncalled for

It seems like a bit of an over-reaction to me. Although, I think perhaps Richard Gere should have researched local attitudes toward public displays of affection a bit more thoroughly before he kissed her.
