Does anyone here write poetry?

I want to fly. Feel the wind brushing your body feel free in the air feel the air touching your soul feel that blood-rush For long i have walked on the planes now let me rise high I have longed so far I tell you earnestly, I want to fly These birds, they make me mad and you are quite a sly taught these creatures how to fly and left me down to weep and cry When they fly past me soaring high with rage i try my best to reach them and drag them down But now its time you change your mind and teach me how to fly with tears in my eye I tell you earnestly, I want to fly. i'd like to write poetry when i was in highschool. but know i'm not doing it anymore.

I do, well, I used to. but it wasn't serious poetry. They were silly poems. I always write little poems to accompany the gifts I make and give to my grandchildren and children. When my kids were young and in school, I would leave silly poems tucked in their lunch kits. I would do this with my grandchildren if I had a chance. If I didn't whip off some bit of nonsense, I always left 'I Love You' note in their lunches. It's nice to 'hear' that in the middle of your day.

I use to write poetry when I was younger but i havent written any in a very long long time. i have notebooks full of old poetry i used to write. i have even won a few poetry contests.

I used to write love poems to my wife when we were dating. But, I've had a horrible case of writers block for the past few years.

I wrote poetry as a teenager, I had a few pieces published, but I haven't wrote anything recently. I love to read other's poetry though, especially poetry about life. I don't know why but the really emotional poetry is what always gets my interest, I guess you could say that the goth type is my main interest

I always write poetry. I love writing, it helps me express my feelings and thoughts.

I used to write poetry all the time. It was a way of expressing my feelings when I was feeling blue. It was my way of keeping a journal. It was all very personal.
