How nice it will be if we can put all the guns in far and stop this war madness? If just we can give a better world to our children!!How much more people must died, life been destroy? All these for what.....Money,Power?What you can answer to your children when they look at you with them innocent eyes and they ask*are they worth it for all these disasters?* The answer not easy, right?

You are so right my friend. But, greed and power in men have been since the begining of time. If only God would come into the hearts of humans more, we would have more love and less wars. I have rated you again with a +. Great posting dear.

dear aidonia not everyone think like this. had they been, we all have been transported to a new world altogether. i feel, there requires a satan to let us understand and apreciate our godliness. we need to see the flip side aswell, just to have a better understanding of the positivity and the desirable and whst should be. but, what we see today is not acceptable under any circumstance. we are spell bound at the irrational greed for money, power and status. and when all this comes at the name of religion, my head bows down in utter shame. what example are we setting for the children, i donot know. this is a crude world and the innocence, as you have said is bound to disappear before realising. this is sad but they have to be strong and rich in values imparted by their family to withstand the world and learn to figth the ways of the world. afterall we don't want them suffering at any cost.

You can say that again. All the tv programs are about violence too. The computer games my son wants to buy are all baddies and goodies and if you think about it, like in the olden days the cowboys and indians. This violent culture is embedded every where. I too wish we could stop congress giving Bush another 300 trillion dollars to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but fat chance of that happening..Millions of kids around the world will die and starve tonight while the Pentagon and Blackwater make millions..

Exactly,we can't escape from the violence so our children too. They teach them live with this as you say from TV,movies,games... It's shame they are children dying without food or water when some others spend trillion dollars for the war..

Oh yes, unfortunately true, as a mother to, hay, I worry about the future for my daughter. The violence, war, corruption, it's so alarming nowadays. I hope everything will change in the near future. A world at peace without hatred, with love is my humble prayer, for the future of our children. And nowadays too, it is not easy to explain acts of violence to children. With the media, and other influences, it is as if something so normal. It is so alarming. Hay....! (^^,)

Our ansestors went to war, they said for our future... and again today we are heaing this... Until when? This brings us back to the basic, to the God who made us to be perfect.

Aidonia, you have raised a very important question. We must do something to give our children a better world. I also thinkg about it and I feel that our next generations is going to get worse enviornment and atmosphere than us. I am not able to make out how can we stop wars, rat race, race for material goods ............. I feel that day by day we are progressing but we are lacking in something..........we are becoming regressing also in our cultural heritage and history etc.

I am pessimistic about whether world would get better for our children. I am afraid that it will be much worse for them than for us right now. It is a scary thought. But I think this is reality. The only thing we can do is to make our children understand right and wrong and protect them from the unsafe world as much as we can. There will always be people who try to exploit other less fortunate ones. We have to make our kids watch out for these unsavory characters. We have to show them the bright sides of life however little they are, to make them believe that life itself is worth living in this hard world however difficult and bleak it may look at some times. Regards

With no disrespect to peace-loving and conscientous men, I think it is high time for women to be in charge. That means discussing, developing policies, making decisions, getting elected, having power to make the changes necessary to move this world and its countries in directions away from war. I know one can't say all members of one gender or another think or do the same. But I think there is a different sensibility and skillset, priority, common sense, and, heck, it's high time women were in charge. Things couldn't get any worse. They could only get better. Thank you, aidonia. We need to hear more from the sensibility of mothers. (To me, one needn't birth children to be a mother.) We must think of the children.
