my 3 kids fight about anything under the sun - toys, games, tv show, who's going to sit beside me during meals or who can sit beside dad to watch a fave show, etc.... sometimes, i feel the ringing in my ears when they start to act up, i just wanna up and go out of the house to get away from it all.

I seem to he having this a lot lately too. I try ot get them all to join in something else or get one interested in something else.
I try to structure their day with lets do.... etc which doesn't seem to work but may be worth a try.
Sometimes I just send them to their room or I will go crazy.
If you find anything brilliant, let me know please - good luck!

it's summer here in the philippines and since my little girl goes to dance classes during this time, i decided to sign up both boys for the boys' dance class, too. they wouldn't talk to me when they learned i did that and i was a little guilty at first for forcing them to do it against their wishes, but when they went today (it's their first day at dance class), they were all smiles afterwards coz they enjoyed it so much. they said they thought dance class was for sissies. the idea here is to get them both occupied and busy enough to think about fighting each other for everything. i only hope this holds.....

It's very normal for kids to argue over things. Frankly, I stayed out of my kids arguments as much as possible when they were younger because I wanted them to develop their own way of resolving conflict without having me to rely on for that. I only stepped in when the conflict escalated. Most of the time they figured it out themselves and I learned to ignore it. Thankfully, they get along beautifully now and rarely argue over anything and I'm proud that they were able to move through that stage of their development.

ohhh, i wish we were past that stage already - and i hope that this is just a stage, huh? maybe i'll start practicing the art of ignoring them when they get into it again. i just wish i'd have more patience.
