I can remeber people asking me as a child What do you want to be when you grow up? What I am wondering is if anyone out there did just what they said as a child? When I was little I would say I want to be a florist. I remeber once the person thought I said forest. LOL Funny thing is I always said the same thing. With my boys it changes from age to age. So what did you want to grow up to be and did you do it?

I wanted to be a dancer (NOT EXOTIC...LOL) but not ballerina either. Kind of like the dancers in broadway shows or backup type dancers. (I come from the SOlid Gold generation.. if you remember that show !!) I also wanted to work with animals, MArine Biology, etc. In High School I wanted to be an Attorney, child psychologist, or a writer. I ended up a 911 Dispatcher/ translator.. so guess I didn't fulfill my childhood dreams..lol.

I think as they grow, certain things stick, others don't. I still LOVE dancing, just not SOLID GOLD...lol I liked law, I work as a 911 dispatcher, I still write poetry and wrote my children their very own kids book (I didn't publish it though) I always wanted to have children.. it was tough though as I was told when I was 14 I had cervical cancer and would never have kids. I focused elsewhere then. Turns out I didn't have cancer, I did have 3 misscarraiges though, but now I have my boys. I do like my job. I always liked being able to help people, and what better way than answering their emergency calls for help !! Don't worry too much, your kids will turn out just fine. Look at how wonderful their mom is !!

I can remember pretending to be a teacher....standing in front of the mirror and talking to myself as Mrs...so and so. All I ever remember myself imagining myself being was a teacher and wife/mother. I have become what I had longed for. Even if the only teaching I do is for my own children...that is the most important teaching career I can imagine having.

Wow what an interesting discussion. Well what I wanted to be changed quite often up until I was in high school. At that point I had decided on what I wanted to be. As a child I wanted to be a beautician, model, veternarian, and I think a school teacher. But when I got into high school and took an accounting class to fill up one of my electives that is when I realized I wanted to be a CPA. The funny things is I never made it to that. Life had other ideas for me and I am now a very proud stay at home mom. I still dream about being an accountant and once my two youngest are in school I may go back to college and finish my degree. But for now I am just enjoying my life and taking it one step at a time.
