Neolithic Sites... Stonehenge for Instance

Over the past few years, I have visited a number of Neolithic Sites. There are a few of them not so far from where I live, such as Stone Henge, Avebury Ring, West Kennet Longbarrow, Wayland's Smithy, Silbury Hill and Cadbury Castle, to name but a few. Some of them have held some strange experiences for me... like Stone Henge; I could hear singing on the wind. You can't get to the stones now because they've been fenced off, so that New Age Travellers can't cause damage on Midsummers eve and morning. Waylands, Smithy, an ancient barrow, where not only did I get a very strange feeling in the chamber entrance, but when sitting on the mound with my hand on one of the perimeter stones, I felt a power surge through my hand. Then, at West Kennett, that was just a very strange place to be. When I stepped inside the chamber there, it was like I wasn't real... like I was being led, but nothing was there. When I came out, I had to sit on one of the stones for a while to re-balance myself, and take in the vast range of hills around me, and the church, to the east. I had to sit some 20-25 minutes before I felt I was in the real world again. Has anybody else visited neolithic or historic sites? If so, which ones and did you have any strange experiences like this?

I've been to the stones at Avebury - I think they are the ones opposite the pub. I had a kind of chilly feeling come over me even though it was a hot summer's day when we were there. We took our border collie dog along with us and he urinated up one of the stones! Oops. lol

LOLOL!!! That was probably because of the smell of the sheep. Yes, Avesbury Ring is opposite the pub.. a very nice pub too. Did you think the stones had certain shapes, individual shapes, I mean? Thank you for your response and lol at your dog! Brightest Blessings.
