where is metallica now a days? i wish they would release an album featuring all their greatest hits, and i mean all!

Maybe you can visit their website to get some informations bout them. I think an album that featuring the greatest hits its not interesting. According to Hammett, there is no greatest hits in their songs, but theres a great in every songs thats written.

That's exactly how I feel. There are just way too many great songs to fit onto 1 or 2 CDs. You'd need like a 6 or 7 CD set (since not all of their albums take up all the space on a CD). You'd pretty much have to use their first 5 albums in their entirety and then several songs from their other albums.

They actually just started recording on March 12 (I think. Maybe 13 or 14) for their new album which is supposed to come out this summer. There are 2 new songs that are out right now, temporarily called "New Song" and "Other New Song," and while they haven't been released in an EP or anything, Metallica has been performing them live occasionally and the videos are all over Youtube.
As for a greatest hits album. . .I think they had one a while back, sometime between Reload and St. Anger, but I think a boxed set of all their albums would be better, since it'd be hard to narrow their "greatest hits" to just 1 or 2 discs (in my opinion, of course).
