School closed today due to flooding and snow!!

Um hello, it's April 16th! I can't believe it's a snow day! Nothing accumliated yet, but roads are also closed due to being flooded out last night and this morning. Now it just stopped snowing and it's raining again, yuk! Well I cant remember school being closed in April for these reasons before, I am so ready for spring! My kids were actually disappointed because today was their first day back after their spring break, poor kids!

Oh, the weather in the New York is quite extreme, shouldn't it the spring season now in the US? It ssems that it is abnormal to have snow in April,what is the temperature right now in your state? So does it mean you just know the school is closed when you get to the school or there will be some announcment from the radios or televisions telling people about the closing of the school? Anyway, teh kids just get one more day to play.

Yep, they have a school channel here and it plays the closings and what not. It's 34 here right now in New Jersey. So strange! Well Spring officially started March 21, but there have only been a handful of spring like days since then!

this weather is crazy! i seen it on the news were it nasty in your state.tell the kids to enjoy their day off from school.i hope you guys are keeping safe an dont let your home get flooded.it makes it hard on the kids when they cant go outside an play.so find something good to do indoors an hopefully we will see spring real soon.but im ready for summer.i think we will miss spring this year!keep safe.

Yeah....I know what you mean. We live in Ontario and the weather is cold and raining and snowing today. It is suppossed to warm up this coming weekend...and boy are we ready for nicer weather. We are still wearing our winter clothing...it is crazy...but that is nature...you can't control the weather....

Wow that's crazy! We did get some snow around Easter but it was very little. We had a really mild winter here in NC so that was really unexpected. I guess you have your hands full today, huh?

I admire of you.For in China,we have be at school from March 1st.I feel very tired these days.If we have a big snow flood and I can sleep in warm bed ,that 's a sweet thing I think.Congratulations!

Blessed are you people ..enjoying the arrival and departure of the four seasons .. it's very hot up here ..maybe it's summer ..can't say for sure as we do not have clearly demarcated seasons.

Hi sweetie! i know what you mean. this has been the craziest April! My kids have been off of school for 9 days, and don't get me wrong...but i was ready for them to go back too! Hope all is well with you and your family. Hope that you get some real pretty weather soon!
