The two most common formulas or infant milk recommended by pediatrician are cow-based formula or soy-based formula. Some parents feel that they need to change formulas when they think it doing nothing good to they babies. Below are the right reasons to change formulas.
One reason to change from a cow-based formula to a soy-based one is if the infant has a cow milk protien allergy which causes rashes, vomiting, diarrhea or respiratory problems. Another would be if the infant has had a bad bout of infectious diarrhea that caused damage to the intestinal tract. Regardless of the reason, it is still best to consult with the child's pediatrician as parents often think that they are changing formulas, when all they're doing is switching brands.
