My favorite cliche' is "What's good for the goose is good for the gander". Meaning, if it's good enough for a female it's good enough for a male. I like this cliche because I hate double standards. I think we should all play by the same rules. What is your favorite cliche' and why?

Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself. It reminds me everyday that I'm not lost, there's not bits of me out there somewhere waiting to be found, everything I need is right here within me already. I can choose who to be. If I want to be a kind, compassionate, loving, creative, whatever person all I have to do is work on BEING that!

the one that i like best runs 'behind the mask of impenetrabiliy, lies a man made of flesh'. persons nowadays, wear this mask of being difficult to approach and deceive yet, when someone sweettalks them into something, they easily fall for it.

My number one is : "What goes around comes around". Because it does and it has, I have personally seen it happen.

First off, I agree 100% with your sentiments about double standards. I've always been fond of the cliche, "That which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." I find that it's helpful to keep that in mind when things seem to be closing in on me.

I don't like cliches, but the only one I can think of right now is you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
