Do as I say and not as I do!

I find a lot of parents exhibiting this kind of behaviour with their children. It's like just because they are the adults, they can do or say anything they want and yet they don't want their children to say or do the same things! How is that possible? We all know that children look up to their parents and they want to try and emulate them in every way. Why don't parents realise that they need to be good role models. It's not good enough to just say "do this and do that" and yet not practice what you preach. Don't you think so?

I definitely agree with you on this one. I think as parents, we have the potential to be either the best or worst role models for our children. I think that children learn by example, and if you expect them to do the right things in life then you should do the right things as well.
