Don't Let a Day Go Without Saying "I Love You"

After this horrible tragedy at Virginia Tech, it is making me think even more about how short life is and that we never know when our time will come. Forgive people who hurt you because you may never get the chance later. Don't hold grudges. Life is just too short! By all means, tell your friends and loved ones that you love them. You never know when it will be the last time you may see them. Let them know how much they mean to you. Don't take anyone or anything for granted. Be thankful for all you have in your life because you never know when you may lose it. God bless.

Amen to that. If you live in Christiansburg, you must know a ton of people that work at Virginia Tech also. It's a horrible time for our area. I almost forgot that there was actually another member on here who lived anywhere near me.

Yes I do know a lot of people who work at VA Tech. I was worried about them yesterday and I am so thankful to say that they are all ok! This was a horrible thing and I think it may hurt VA Tech, but then again, I believe we are a strong and caring community and that we will heal from this. There are things that we need to do to try and make the place safer so that nothing like this ever happens again!

You are so right. People don't say those three little, but big, words enough. I always make a habit out of saying I love you, Or love you, to my hubby everyday. I tell him at night time before we go to sleep, I tell him in the morning when I see him to the door, when he goes to work. I sometimes will phone him during the day just to say it. I know he has a very stressful job and just needs to hear it sometimes. It helps him in releaving stress, is what he tells me. I sometimes, about once a month, leave him a note in his lunch bag that tells him how much he is loved. The reason for all this is because we were both married before and we have talked and this is one of the things we both didn't like about our marriages. Not enough love and not enough communication.

Oh honey, so true this is. We can only be sure of this second, and that's it. It's a gift, the present. We must act and say I love you constantly. Bless you for sharing this sugar.

I wish more people would take that message to heart. How we are, influences how people see Jesus. And I want people to see Christ in me. If we can't love people, even our own family, how are we supposed to love others to Christ?

It is so sad what happened today but fear this is only the beginning of more such horrid things. To be honest since I first learned about the rapture and tribulation about 7-8 years ago (yes I was a late comer) I have made a point of telling all my loved ones how much I love them and appreciate them each and every chance I get. We never know when the end will come...

people dont want to express their love more. Thanks for the encouragement and suggestion. Yes indeed life is short and so we should not waste any seconds and minutes of it and express our love to our love ones.

you are so right, I don;t think we should go a day without telling those we love that we love them. I try not to hold grudges and forgive people for hurting me or something, I mean what's the use in not forgiving people?

You know... truer words were never spoken. I agree. Take the time to tell those you love, that you love them.

I'm not a person who talks alot. And if my friends and family don't know I love them, then there's obviously something wrong. But I'm not usually a person where you don't know where you stand with me. And if I have a grudge against someone or won't forgive them? There's usually a fine, irreversible reason. Life is very short, which is why I live everyday as if it were my last, and yeah I rarely take anything for granted ^_^ yeah, more people should too. Heh.

Thank you for the reminder. I try to remember this everyday. Specially the part about remember to be thankful for everday given, because we don't know when it will come. Try to love everyone, and forgiveful is always a good lesson to remember. Thank you again.

Yes that is soo true, Springlady, that we should always tell our loved ones the family that we love them and to forgive those who hurt us. Forgiveness takes a burden off our shoulders and it allows God to forgive us and hear our prayers.
