Do you watch for entertainment or understanding?

When the series started there were all these educational programs on trying to show what the polygamist societies are really like and how the Big Love family differs. But I think Big Love is trying to portray Bill's family as a modern polygamist and give it a friendlier face. So what do you watch for, pure entertainment or trying to understand the polygamist lifestyle.

I watch it primarily for entertainment. I take everything on television with a grain of salt - after all, Big Love is just a fictional tv show. So it's not necessarily the best source of information. But it does touch on some issues that are commonly known about polygamy. So I suppose it does raise awareness on some issues.

I watch for both. I think a reason it's so entertaining is becuase it also is educating. It helps me understand something I don't know much about and that's part of the intrigue and thus the entertainment value.

I watch both entertainment and educational programs. I watch Big Love and I like the shaw. It's funny and entertaining. It doesn't mean that I would like to live that way but I respect other people lives. They are adults and they chose to live that way so I don't have a problem with that. Maybe some people like to live that way and they may be happier living like that. But for me I wouldn't like to share my husband with other wives and I will have a lot of problems with the other women lol But I do think there are people who are happy with that lifestyle.
