Sometimes, I find it boring to read boooks. it takes me only half hour and then I start yawning, even how interesting the book i'm reading was. Why do you think is that? Do you feel the same sometimes?

With other books, yes. But never with the Holy Bible since I came to understand it. And I am not only reading it but I am translating the Holy Bible from Greek to English. I have already published GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English), THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), and other books shown at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin Pls try these. They might not be boring to you. May God bless you.

With the Bible though, I admit I sometimes want to understand deeply and clearly.

same here. even if i love the story or subject like harry potter, i prefer it be seen on tv, in power point display or in documentaries where there are pictures. i think it has something to deal with your habits.

I can't say its boring to read a book because i do it often more especially if i really like its content. I used to read if that one is more centered on my interests..., just like others. But sometimes, i found it a resort when time comes that i cant easily sleep. So, its either that i watch TV or read from book or any reading materials. In that sense, i could start napping.

I do feel boring when I’m reading books which are not to my interest but I always try to finish it at the end. Even reading an interesting book certain parts of it could be dull and boring. In this way I just glance through it quickly until I come to the interesting part again.

I love books. There are only a few that I find completely boring and those are the ones that I won't read unless I'm made to. And trust me, I hate every second of it. But books I do read and want to read I can't put them down. It's hard for me to even do anything else when I have a book at hand.

I get bored reading other books but I always read the Holy Bible. It consists of 66 books and it's complete. All the books there are very interesting and exciting. In fact, many movies are based on some stories in the Holy Bible.

i LOVE to read, i have since i first learned. Its almost like an addiction to me lol. I have several bookcases full of books, i love just getting lost in them. Plus, being a good reader HAS helped me in school and in life. I have learned things i never would have learned if i didnt read like i do. I also tend to read classic literature, and books written in the 19th century because I found those to be better written then a lot of the trash written today. I like to read before I go to sleep, i have trouble sleeping, and its such a relaxing thing to do.

occasionally i do. but most of the time if i actually have the motivation to read a book it is because it looks really good, and ends up being really good. then i usually end up reading it all in one sitting. i very rarely start a book and don't finish it. i love reading.

I love reading books and I will never ever give it up even with the advent of the internet. However, I do find that I too get bored with certain books, and I blame it all on the book. If the book is interesting, I can read it in one seating. But if it's boring then I don't bother with it. Maybe you have just been getting your hands on not so good books that don't catch your interest. Don't give up on books. They're a great way to enhance your vocabulary and improve your writing style. I saw that personally on my sister. I saw the improvement in the way she was writing before and after I introduced her to reading pocketbooks. That's why I've already started my nieces on reading teen books as well.

Yeah, that's true, it broadens your vocabulary and improves writing. But like you've said, you get bored sometimes too. i read interesting books like computer programming, but still bores me sometimes. I guess it's my eyes. hehehe... do you think??

It depends on the book to me. I can read something all the time if it really has a meaning or interest to me. But if I just don't care about the story/book then I just don't want to read it.
