gunless society

How about a gunless society? Those school shooting rampages wouldn't have happened if it were not so easy for the gunmen to get a gun. A twelve year old child wouldn't have been able to commit suicide if she didn't find a gun lying around in the house. A driver wouldn't have shot another driver in a heated traffic argument if he didn't have a gun in the glove compartment of his car. How easy is it to get a gun in your society? Think of a world where even the policemen don't carry guns. They have their wooden sticks to use in enforcing the law. They wouldn't ever make the mistake of shooting innocent people in pursuit of a criminal. People would have a chance to run away to avoid fights. People would feel safer expressing dissent if they didn't fear being shot. South Korea has tried having a gunless society. People are not afraid to walk the subways and dark streets at night there. With the fiery tempers, surely many deaths have been prevented because people are not allowed to carry guns. Check their statistics on death by shooting. If they could do it there, can we not do it in our own countries? So how about a gunless society? Is this not a possibility?

The fact is that we have a constitution which guarantees people the right to bear arms. The state, in trying to take that right away, is in violation of its own founding constitution. What do you want to do about that?

If there's a gunless society, it would be wonderful. If there's a violentless socienty, it would be more wonderful. But people on earth all know it is impossible now. Some always cry to use weapon for peace. But God knows how them use them......
