Do you think people have become selfish, indifferent and insensitive? Was people of the past more humane and loving? For me the love among humankind is becoming superficial, thanks to the busy lives and greed.

People always have been selfish, indifferent and insensitive, ---- to one degree or another. What has changed is societies acceptance of those character flaws. We are now told it is okay to put one's self first, always. We are even taught that if others have a problem with something we do it is that other persons problem, not ours. Rudeness is so prevalent, everywhere, and I think it is up to each of us to change this behavior, as it is said so often, I can be part of the problem or part of the solution. I am trying for a place on the solution side!

Sure have. I think that people are much more worried about their own lives than helping anyone around them. I remember when I was a child, the car that my mother and I were in broke down. Within a few minutes a group of women (Who I thought were the Charles Angels lol) stopped and gave us a ride to our house. Now justmp ahead almost 20 yrs. Me, my husband and son were driving down the road when we saw a woman and 3 children standing by a car. We stopped and helped them. The woman told us they had been broken down for over 30 mins and not one person (and this was a busy road) pulled over to offer help. Such a shame.
