many people told me that politics is dirty. if politics is dirty then why is it acknowledged by the public and patronized? it has been brainwashed to the public that politics is dirty so what is the use of having public officials if we are not confident enough of our own government system?

politics works like most other systems too: survival of the fittest which unfortunately doesnt mean survival of the most integer. in fact to come to the top of any (especially social) system integrity actually is counterproductive because it makes you predictable and weak (compared to the opponents whose actions arent limited by integrity, morals, etc.). integrity itself is a great character trait which would certainly pay out for a politician in a world of perfect information. we live in a world of imperfect information though, which makes manipulating the information more important than actual behaviour. this is why only people that are well connected come up on top. so our choices as voters are limited from the start to a certain kind of people (have you ever noticed that no matter what politician is in power in any of the established western democracies the actual change from the government before is always minor) even though it might sound different i dont want to critize this development because i believe their is only one alternative to our imperfect political system which would come up with better results: the benevolent dictator, but do we really believe somebody like that is possible, i dont think so. the other alternative is anarchy (if you wanna know the results of that just take a look at sudan) which is no option at all, so even if our politics are dirty it still cleaner than the alternatives

I think present day politics is not good for good people b'coz, politicians are deriving money from different people who are exploiting the vast society at large. Though there are some very nice people are there, but the real significance elusive to them. Don't do any "polytricking" dear
