In 2001, Google bought Pyra Labs. The makers of Blogger (www.blogger.com) or (blogspot.com), a weblog publishing platform, first launched in 1999. Pyra Labs was made by Evan Williams, but he left Google in 2004.

On year 2007 Google reached an agreement to acquire DoubleClick. Google buy the company for 3.1 billion United States dollars.
