so far I have no experience to tip.But if there are chances,I would like to do that, because when we are served,we need to express our thanks, which can be easily done by tip.

i cant belive people talk about leaving coins...that means it is under a dollar...even if they refill your glass one time that is worth 1.00...i usually leave 2-3....if they do really good 5....the biggest we have left before was 20 bevause there was alot of us and she did REALLY good keeping things cleared away and glasses full.

yes we do, if the service is great or just ok. if the service sucks no we dont give tips. for a-ok service we normally would tip 10% of our total bill, if the service was great we give more than 10%

It depends on the type of restaurant that we dine in. In an ordinary restaurant we will tip about 5 cents but when we eat out in style at a posh restaurant we tip about 20 cents. The maximum that we ever tip is just 50 cents. (all US cents)

in tipping it is usually 10% of the total bill but in our case here in the philippines it is optional unlike in other countries where it tis a must that you tip them. bad practice in my book, does that mean that it is our obligation to do so? whether their service is good or bad?

well yah usually in the restaurant i leave the tip behind as i feel that the person who has served me should get some extra benefit...... i usually leave around 10-15 rs.....

It depends on the service and the food. Even it's a fancy restaurant but the service is bad, I won't give any tip. Most of the time I'l make it round from the total bill that I have to pay and I'll hand the tip directly to the person that served and do the service on my table the whole time. I'll give some extra tip if I'm really satisfied with the service and that the food is excellent...

I give tips if I am really happy with the service. The amount depends on the type of restaurant i am visiting because I eat at small places(school time favourites) as well as big and the amount also varies accordingly.
