Best reason(s) for marriage or domestic partnership???

I just wondered what others feel is the best reason ~ or reasons ~ for being married or living with another adult. It is Love, or Money, or Companionship? Or is it something else entirely? I do love my husband. But I have to admit that that isn't the *only* reason I married him. It was also because he is good with my son and my pets. I don't have a whole lot in common with him, as in interests and hobbies. But he is a good friend and he's loyal and honest, and reliable. I think it's more for companionship, on my half. I don't feel a lot of *passion* for him. Love, yes. But not really that *spark*. Do you know what I mean? Have you gone through something similar? Just wondered...
