It seems to be on the rise at extrordinary rates. Moving from the hustle and bustle of the crammed cities out to the sleepy country towns or luxurious beaches. But many people cannot handle it and are finding this out only a few months after moving. They dont realise how much of a difference the lifestyle is, a lot of things are not at your fingertips, lower job opportunities etc....We done the sea change 3 years ago and have not looked back once. Its a complete lifestyle change (for the better). No traffic lights and if there is 3 cars its a traffic jam, its brilliant. I even hate going to the city now and will not go unless I absoltely have to. Have you done a seachange or treechange, Whats your experience been like?

Shhh! Don't tell everyone...lol. When I moved from the city to the country way back in 1985, I felt like I was coming home. It would take me seven minutes to drive to work in the CBD instead of 40 minutes or 1 hour by train. I made more friends and had more adventures and became involved in the community more. People would say G'day and I would know a lot of them. Where I came from you were just a face in a crowd or "the woman with 2 kids in 'that' apartment block". Later I moved up north to another major city but with many rural aspects and this was rather nice but the city was wasted on me...I'd head of to the moutains or the coast whenever possible but this wasn't often. I'm now living in the outback practically and in a village with a cop shop, a post office a cafe and a pub (natch). Sadly, I can't see the pub making enough money to pay the staff, let alone taxes, insurance, super, rates and the rest...it's only a matter of time.

LOL.....My place is a secret. Its lovely, and the people are so friendly, I suppose they are not stressed like the city people. But I absolutely love it here except for being unemployed at the moment, but I do have a bub so I should just it enjoy it for now.

Ummm, thanks, I think. Looks like no-one else has braved the elements. They just don't know what they're missing. I don't mind, if everyone moved out of the cities, you and i wou;d be in trouble.

I haven't done a sea change / tree change kinda thing, but it would be nice so long as the place I would be staying would have power 24/7 and some place to pass the time like a mall or a small coffee shop, but it would be nice to do that. I'm a home girl and what's keeping me from going out is all the pollution and the hustle of the big city, maybe if I moved to the country I'd be able to go out more.

Oh for sure, the country would be the best thing, I hate the city. Ive never looked back, and if its truley what you want, you soon adapt to life without the city lifestyle.
