Why do you respond a discussion which is 8 months past?

A discussion with serial number as 30784 was started by a newbie and may be who has been banned too. But this single discussion is responded by mylot users as yet four days back, 30 minuts back and so on.
The discussion is ugly in manner and i think the newuser just plyed some sort of rubbish thing.
But I have seen the existing users without caring to the facts and reason to reply, just add the response to such discussions.
The one is just an example but you can see few replying to six months & seven months old discussion with no such specific interest?
Instead why don't you respond to a discussion which is waiting for a single response and being worth to reply too?
I think we can avoid this.

I am with you ornamav.. discussions much older deserve no response from active users,because the member in question might not be logging in presently. Moreover all of us should show good concern in responding to quality discussions.

i have seen the discussion. It has a very sensitive manner. asking for something for his private organ. I think that man just want to get a warm response from mylot users. That discussion needs to be deleted. I have heard many discussions being deleted by mylot but in this case, the discussion has not been deleted. Now, it's like being relived again. Maybe we should post quality discussions and not just for the sake of having a number or response to our discussion just like that discussion, that yucky discussion.

How do you find out the discussion number? Please assist me so that even i am able to read that discussions :)

I believe that the user who sees a response for a discussion which is six to eight months old will be more excited that the one who sees the response for a discussion started two or three days ago. If the discussion doesnt have any subject then there is no use of responding but if it has some good subject then i dont think there is anything wrong in responding :)

If one discussions can really pique my interest, I will reply to it no matter it was 3 months or 3 weeks ago or the best response have been chosen. May be I will not get any credit for it but I do not mind if it is a good discussion.
But if you say that the users who replying tot that old discussion have some other intention, we should keep an eye on it.

if i'm interested in that discussion i don't mind it started 8 months ago or more...but as u said its ugly or bad i wont respond if it is new one too...i saw the same discussion 2 weeks ago but i didn't replied but before seing this discussion i thought about mylot that is all who come to mylot will surely become good persons...after seing this i said myself this type discusions are also there in mylot...surely have to remove this one..otherwise dont respond;then the user himself will stop this type of subjects...
