r0131n I'm sure if the owner is there then he should have picked it up in the first place. If the coin happen to be next to somebody then I normally ask if they've dropped it, if not then I'll keep it.

r0131n I think I shall try that this year and see how much I can pick up in a year. I haven't picked up anything yet so far though. I guess the state of the economy is letting people pick up every penny they drop so there is nothing for me to pick yet. :o)

r0131n That is a lot of change. I've never really let that much change accumulate. As soon as I reach between £5 to £10 then I alwasy find something useful to buy.

r0131n I feel that you don't really need to impose a ruling regarding picking up money on the street. A simple common sense and honesty should be sufficient. Look around to see if someone has dropped it and ask people around where the money is before taking...

r0131n That's one thing I don't do and I admire you for doing that. I sometimes just kick harmful objects on the streets to the side, out of the way rather than picking it up.
