Just an Ordinary Owl? Pity is NOT appropriate in these cases. I have no pity whatsoever for the low-life who try to earn money by stealing other people's property. Yes, I am sad that such people exist but they should feel the full force of whatever retribution can be meted out to...

Just an Ordinary Owl? If you are posting in a blog, there is no reason why not. However, you have to remember that many people will NOT click on cloaked links (whether paid-to-cloak or free) because there is no guarantee that they will go to the site expected. You could easily lose...

What is more difficult, writing a new story or re-writing an old story?

SinfulRose @SinfulRose (3519) • Davao, Philippines 17 Feb 13

I have three stories that I had started writing when I was still in grade school and a dozen more left unwritten but had their own plots. But I ended up not finishing them all when I reached college...and forgot about them. In...

bellis716 While contemplating your question, it reminded me of a dressmaking problem. Sometimes making a new dress can be easier than altering an old one. It depends on the amount of alterations needed on the old dress. I believe the same principal applies to your...

Just an Ordinary Owl? PTR stands for "Paid to Read"; PTC stands for "Paid to Click". On one you are paid for reading (emails, web pages, articles, for example) and on the other you are paid to click on adverts, banners and so on. Always research any site you propose to join...

How much more or how many more

chanthanhluong @chanthanhluong (21) 25 Jan 13

Which one is correct? How much more or how many more? Please help me with this perplexing English situation. I'm taking a wild guess here. When using with a countable noun I should use how many. For example, how many more cookies...

Just an Ordinary Owl? Likewise: "How much water in the reservoir?"/"How many litres of water in the reservoir?" There are some occasions where you would use neither 'much' not 'many'. For example, with distance ("How far ...?" or "How high ...?").

ZoeJoy If a criminal was smart, he would get his mouth shut. Either these men are just spouting off or they are real dumb criminals. Either way, best to stay away from them. Do your shopping during the day, when it is safer.
