Did Shane do the Right Thing?

sappho99336 @sappho99336 (354) • United States 5 Mar 07

Do you think Shane did the right thing in letting Shay go with his father and not try to fight for custody? I hate to say it, but I think she did. I have doubts that she would have won, especially since Shay's father had tried to...

dvschic she wouldn't have won, sadly the courts are biased against single lesibans, especially one with her history. if she was a bette or even tina, she would have stood a better chance, but she's too wild. i think there will be more story line with that soon.

Would You Answer a Personals Ad that Someone's Mother Had Placed for Them?

sappho99336 @sappho99336 (354) • United States 25 Feb 07

I just got home from seeing "Because I Said So." Great movie, by the way. In this movie, Diane Keaton's character placed an online personals ad for her daughter. She then met the men who answered the ad and picked one out for her...

Shaunee I thought this movie was pretty cute myself. I'm not sure if I would want my mother to play a match maker though or to try to set me up with someone.

cripfemme Not if they didn't know about it; that's just creepy in my opinion. Can you say overbearing much? I would feel guilty. What if they found out; they would never talk to me again! And be justified in it!

KrauseHome Great Comments and thoughts here. Yes, you are probably telling the Truth for sure here. What guy would want to meet the Mom first to then be told it is because they are trying to set up a Blind date for their daughter? I know if I was a man, this would...

Nineteen Minutes, by Jodi Picoult

sappho99336 @sappho99336 (354) • United States 21 Mar 07

Has anyone else read Nineteen Minutes, by Jodi Picoult? I thought it was an excellent book, but very upsetting to read. For those who haven't read it, it's about a school shooting. I actually found myself feeling very angry on...

KATRINKA Nineteen Minutes is the first of Picoult's novels I've read. I've been wrought with emotion as I read this novel. She handles all the points of view expertly. I think her writing is beautiful. I, too, was angry with Peter's school, wondering if the shootings...
