All I planted this year were 6 tomato plants. One died right away, so I had 5 left. My outdoor water system was broken for most of the summer, so I had to carry water to them. Just when I had a few tomatoes on them we had frost....

sharj123 I have tried growing my tomatoes in pots--some years they did good and others not. I think next year I might try it again with only one or two plants. There are only so many tomatoes one person can eat before they go bad, so don't need a whole lot anymore. I...

sharj123 Thanks for the sympathy. I don't garden very much now as my health won't let me, but I just love homegrown tomatoes!

sharj123 Have you considered getting your tomcat neutered and your female spayed? That way you won't have kittens in the house to angst out the male cat. Also, it is healthier and safer for your cats if you don't let them out. As long as you have lots for them to do...
