simlock I know it's a cliche but unplug your modem, wait a minute, then plug it back in. Now go to dslreports.com, click on tools and go to the free speed tests. See if your download/upload speed is at least close to what your service provider is supposed to give you....

simlock My first digital camera was a Canon G5. It was a point and shoot that thought it was an SLR but it took great pictures. (still does). Also rare at the time in that it shot RAW images. Currently have a slightly long-in-the-tooth Nikon D200.
