Hey I got a problem and i want to get the ip adress of someone. He is in my msn, how can i get him ip just opening a chat window? which program let you do this? i tried netstat but theres a lot of ips... suggestions?

slowsin no.. microsoft was not the first.. MS begun with MS-DOS at a time where the first graphical interfaces comes up.. they just made a deal with IBM to sell their x86-PC's with the MS-DOS preinstalled..

slowsin I use gentoo and debian for my servers and ipcop for firewalls.. for friends and brother I have suggested mandrake or ubuntu.. never heard about ubuntu studio.. I have to try it :) thanks..

Can some one please tell me how to protect my folders using a password in linux ubuntu...i was using folder guard in windows...can i get something similar to that in linux ....some one please help me....i want a gui software which...

slowsin just make a second user and let your friends use your pc with the second user. that is the simplest way to protect your folders and u have no software to install

slowsin I like your answer and in some things I would do the same.. but maybe I would try to not changing a lot of my.. surely one thing I would do is making a long trip around the world :) and another thing I would do is to give a part of my money to associations...
