Some would say that your very existence depends on your worth to others. Every hour of their needs you expect that your phone will be ringing, your name will be called. But at your time of need don't expect too much from people...

Kimberly Cass @LovingMyBabies Our worth, our value is based upon what Jesus Christ went through for our very souls to make the way for us to spend eternity with Him!

dpk262006 My self worth or in other words self esteem does not depend upon what others think about me. I know what I am and how do I conduct myself. Others' opinion are not going to change my self worth. If I am good to others (read all) then I need not be afraid...

Just an Ordinary Owl? @talktoryan I think that the nub of the argument is that nobody can satisfactorily or accurately gauge or put a value on their own worth.

WorDazza I don't view my worth in terms of other people's opinion of me or what worth they apply to me. People can take me as I am or not at all. In terms of purpose. We have no purpose other than survival of the species. Everything else is nice but largely...

Janet Anderson I don't need a ringing phone to make me feel worthy. I do get support and respect from all sorts of people and I know I am loved. Getting older has increased my self confidence . Thank you #1CreekGirl for the suggestion!

ElizabethWallace @talktoryan Teachers study such things while in college. I had enough classes and years of experience dealing with children to know that mine received enough love, attention and direction to get a good start. Kids who are ignored flounder.

Manini @talktoryan . And i think it is common for parents that they define their self worth on how they raise their children. But the sad thing is that it can go extremes, that is blaming themselves for the failures of their children.
