teenagers disobey parents--why?

When children become teenagers they usually think they know all and tend to disobey their parents.Can you tell me how to make them understand that it is for their good that parents refuse to allow them to do certain things?

wadden42 Over the last 3-4 months my daughter who is now 16 going on 17 years old seems to be more rebellious. She is high honors student. Involved in choir, band, peer ed etc etc and tonight she was asked to be home by 930 as she has been out the last 2 evenings with...
