How do you make money on the Internet?

I run a classified site. http://oregon-classified.com. I started it almost a year ago and it is only just now starting to take off. The sad part is that it's taking off for my members, but I have yet to make a dime from it. As a matter of fact, as of last tally, I'm still about $400 in the hole. Revenue is only just starting to cover the hosting costs, and I don't even want to talk about all the hundreds of hours I have put in doing the "above and beyond" thing to keep my members happy. So I am asking for advice. How do I make this site profitable, and failing that, what do you do to make money on the web?

Check out this website, www.vaddict.com they have a program that pays you for making original videos, if you are creative and users like your stuff you get paid for every view your video gets.

Hey that sounds fun. Sounds like a fun site to check out... even for us non-creative types.

Hmmm... I checked the site. The videos are interesting to watch, but as far as payment goes, you get $1 dollar for every 5000 views of your video, but you don't get paid untill after 50,000 views. As a money maker I don't see much potential. Most of the videos i saw listed had 100 or less views.

Well, I decided if I'm going to sink in money via internet, it might as well be a paying site, one that won't run off with my cash two or three days after. MLMs and matrices are tricky unless you have a big network in place. Autosurfs also don't stick around long enough. So, i invest money, let it compound and work on myLOT.

Are you talking about HYIP's? Or reputable investment firms? I looked into HYIP's a long time ago and found that they are mostly of the dine and dash variety.

I've had bad experiences with HYIPs, too. No, I found what I believe are reputable investment sites and I've been there for months and they still keep paying. And I've done my due diligence. If interested to check out sites, send me a message through myLOT. If you've got $10 to spare, you can begin earning from them. Thanks.

Well, I guess it's a lot of opportunities out there, but I think it's better to avoid copying other peoples ideas. For sure many others have done it long before you and it will be hard to work with. Personally, the most of the money I have made on the internet, until now, comes from developing scripts or web-pages, but recently I joined a new concept from a company who are promoting the new UMA technology, IP-mobile, which is expected to be the hottest in telecom, in the coming years. If you register on www.fabonet.com (still in a pre-launch), it's free and without obligations, then you will get a chance to know the products. Next week you will even get a free voip subscription where you can call from voip-to-voip. Well, since it's free and without any obligations what so ever, why not put your name there and look into it. Maybe you get surprised. Since it's new and obviously you have a network, I don't think you have to work too hard and too long to start getting a profit from this.

This is a new site that will pay you to watch seminars and answer a short questionnaire. It is totally free (the money comes from the seminar providers). Check it out at: http://bestcashrewards.com/affiliates/t.php?rid=1536 You sound like you've put a lot of time into researching these sites, let me know what you think. Thanks
