ok so i am pis**d off today!!! my car is in the body shop getting fixed from when the dumbas* deer ran into it. my insurance company issued me a check for the amount to fix it. but the check was written out to my husband and the lein holder of the car. so i had to mail it to the lien holder to be endorsed and then my auto body shop had to contact them when the job was done to get the check. well...the lien holder cant seem to find the check i mailed to them over two weeks ago. why can nothing ever just go smoothly for me? i have been without my car for over a week and i need groceries so badly. i have 4 kids that have been stuck in the house now with me. of course, the day after i took the car in, i took my husbands tahoe to the grocery store and on the way home, in the middle of the woods on a hill around a bend, his piece of crap died on me. what fun that was. so now i have no vehicle, for a week. we dont live in an area where i can just walk to a corner store. i live 3 miles from the front gate of my community and the nearest store from the gate is about 8 or 10 miles down the road. i hate pa!!! but that is something for another post altogether!!! so i propose that we just rid the world of all the stupid, check losing people in the world that make our lives more difficult!! anyone with me? lol!! come on someone..make me laugh today or i am going to go crazy!!!!

Aww, that must be so frustrating! One time my ex-hubby and I had issues with the lien holder too. We got the estimates and submitted them to the insurance company according to what the insurance company instructed us to do. The check was issued, the car in the shop, all the parts and supplies purchased by the shop, when the lien holder decided that they would not endorse the check unless we tool it to the shop THEY wanted us to use. In they end we had to take it to the more expensive shop of their choice, which the check didn't cover, AND still pay our shop for the time they spent ordering parts and preparing the car to be fixed. The insurance company wouldn't issue more money to us saying that it was OUR choice to change shops! Anyway I've been without vehicles so many different times it's not even funny. It never happens at a convenient time either. I'm lucky enough to have a store within walking distance at least. Although that hasn't done me much good this winter because it's just far enough I couldn't walk there with the baby. Now my s/o's truck is broken and he's without. He never let me borrow his when mine was broke so I haven't let him use mine now. I'd rather drive him the 1/2 hour to and from work than give up my vehicle!
