Up date on my mom 3

Well we now have her settled in an assistant living place. She is getting adjusted to her new home altho she misses her home.
SHe is getting where I can understand most of what she is saying on the phone. Which is so great I can talk to her along time without her getting tired she has a cane to walk with to keep her balance.
She is making new friends and doing all activities too .
So I do think she is going to do good here.
We are going up the end of the month to celebrate her 87th birthday!Pic of mom and 2 of my brothers boys with her in her new place

Lakota your mom looks Great! What handsome young men. I told you she would enjoy living there once she got used to it, I am so glad to hear all is going well.

I work at an assisted living place, and I find it to be the most rewarding job. The residents are so thankful for the help they recieve. On rounds a lot of them are still awake so instead of rounds taking 10 minutes they can take up to a half hour sometimes because , a lot of residents just want some company and someone to talk to! Working nights i find it is nice to talk to the residents because sometimes i am up on my floor alone. Some suffer from sundowners too so they are up most of night and then sleep all day. A lot of the residents have family out of state so i doubt if they get many visitors it is too bad.

wow after a whole year the post has been here didnt exspet it to have a responce.
YEs alot of places are good and this is a single floor place as to them checking on her at night I dont know about that for they hardly check to see why she didnt come to breakfast!.
and we have to pay for health nurses to come in now what they have there just hands out pills and if she needs a doctoor my brother or sister have to take her. Sometimes I wonder what they get such A high price for the on elittle room she stays in take al her check and we have to buy the extras!
