many say that about 7 hours is enough sleep. How much you sleep? do u think u get enough sleep? I sleep about 8 hours a day. Sleeping gives rest to our mind and makes us freash when we get up, then concentration upon the work we were doing also increases.. have u ever experienced this? Try to take sound sleep.... atleast 7 hours a day, By the way,how much u sleep?

Sleeping is very important for all of us ,because if you have a good rest you'll start the next day fresh without having an y problems . I think studies indicate we should have at least 7-8 hours of sleep ,but all of us know there are some people who can sleep all the day and they are still having problems when they wake-up .... I usually have a maximum of 7 hours for sleeping ,but there are some days when I sleep only 4-5 hours because I have to work and learn in the same time and I prefer ,finishing all my duties before i can get some rest.In those days with not so many hours of rest, when I wake-up i have a terrible head-eke and my day sometime finishes earlier because i want to be well prepared for the next day ...

I get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep every night. I think I get enough sleep but there are days that I wake up feeling so tired. Most days I feelso awake and refreshed and I can tell that I have more concentration.

u are getting enough sleep mate, dont go below 7 and also not above 9 hours of sleep unless u had an exagaration..because more amount of sleep makes us more dizzy..atleast my experience tells that..

I think different people will have different meaning on the word 'enough'. Some people will sleep for mroe than ten hours but still want to sleep mroe while the other may feel fine even the ysleep for 4 hours. I will sleep 5 to 6 hours per day, I do not know it is enough or not, sometimes I feel tired at the morning but sometimes I feel I am refreshed, of course sleeping is important and it improve your concentartion when you are working. may be I have to sleep more then if you say 7 hours is optimal, or may be I have to catch up my sleeping at the weekend.lol

In general for a baby to a grown up person 8 hours per day sleeping is essential as per medical recommendations. But in our busy corporate life I can manage 6 only. Babies may require a more sleep and the aged person though they require to sleep can sleep sound only 5-6 hours. So it varies.

We must sleep atleast for 8 hours in a day according to doctors. I agree with you that we feel fresh when we get up after taking good sleep & we become more affective and our efficency to work too increases. Well, i try my best to sleep for 8 hours in a day but cann't sleep often 8 hours. I take rest for 6-7 hours in a day but sometimes, i sleep more than 10 hours in a day specially on weekend.

I notice the piccy of a sweet baby you have posted on a topic about sleep. I know why!! The little darlings and sleep (at least your sleep) don't really go together. haha. When you are finished growing - late teens/early 20's - the need for sleep drops off and I reckon 6 hours is ok. Later on in your 50's then maybe 7 hours and more later on again. You can train yourself to a sleep pattern. My 30+ year old son is peaking out at 12 hours a day at the moment, the lazy b****r!! Round the world solo sailors can manage on snatches of sleep for 10 minutes ever hour and so keep watch round the clock. When I sailed oceans we were basically 2 hours on and 4 hours off every day and I found it hard. Sleep deprivation is a cruel kind of torture as every new mother knows only too well!!
