Bottled water may be hurting your teeth.

I have read that dentists are seeing more and more tooth decay in patients that drink mostly bottled water. They say that most bottled water doesn't have adequate amounts of flouride like tap water does. I think it's amazing all the new things they are coming up with supposedly causing health problems. Here pretty soon everything will be bad for you. I was definately shocked to read that water is actually a problem. Has anyone else heard about this?

Althought I havent heard of this yet thats pretty wild. Its like everything we have enjoyed for many years is turning out to be bad for all of us. What will be next, we should use toliet paper because its toxic to our as*es? Really though now a days you have to be so careful what we are putting into our bodies because with poisons and terrisiom only god know whats next. Also as science gets better we seem to find more and more stuff thats bad for us so Im kind of interesed to see what more is going to be found dangerous as science progresses.

Actually, I think some of that toilet paper is toxic.LOL. It might sounds crazy to you but I actually use Cottonelle wipes. I don't think toilet paper gets you clean. I have issues, huh? Thanks for responding.

This could be true. My daughter's dentist said her teeth were so white because of the tap water. She brushes her teeth with tooth paste then keeps brushing them with tap water until all tooth paste is gone from her teeth. She has been doing this from kindergarden after a dentist visited her school. She is 15 now and always had WHITE teeth.

If you are worried about the lack of flouride in bottled water, why not buy toothpaste with added flouride. There are many brands that add this and it isn't any more expensive than those without.

This is really a great piece of information and we all here will surely get the benefit for this. This is very shocking to hear that even water can be the cause for teeth problems and we should take care to not drink bottle waters from now.

I much prefer my well water to city tap, but bottled water is better overall. My well water keeps me healthy despite claims that it can cause disease. (it does, thus forcing you to create anti-bodies, which in turn innoculate you against many versions of the same illness. I put a jug of clorox in the thing every few months, and dont drink or cook, or wash clothes with it for about two weeks. Bottled water tastes so much better, but a water filter of good quality turns well water into a tasty alternative if you clean it now and then to remove the worst case scenarioes. Though to be honest it is mainly because frogs get in it, among other critters. (the real problem with well water, even with a concrete lid, critters can dig. lol) nummy protein rich frog water... yay!

That is crazy but I think it's kind of bull.. but who knows.. people come up with anything these days and say its bad for you but look at it this way... so many people before us have lived drinking, eating.. this stuff so it can't really be all that bad! all i drink it bottle water and I pretty good teeth. of course i take care of them.

I would have thought tht this wouldn't be the cause as most toothpaste has flouride in it any way. Some one recently told me that flouride is actually bad for you, I don't know how true this is, but nowadays, everything seems to be bad for you in one form or another.
