As I was surfing the web tonight I happened to find some kid friendly recipes. I just wanted to share with those who might be interested. Here is a sample .. DIRT A yummy recipe submitted by Susanne Koenig. Ingredients: Ground Oreo®s Cool Whip® Gummi® worms Plastic or Real flowers (Keep the little water-holding dealy on the end for the real) Clay pot Directions: It's simple. Layer the ground oreos and cool whip, put in worms occasionally. Top layer should be the oreos. Stick in flower. Makes a great present, and a terrific hit at family get-togethers, the kids get a real thrill out of sticking their spoons into the "decorations" and showing the older adults it's only a dessert in disguise.

I haven't had this in so long but it is so good. My stepbrothers girlfriend made it one Christmas and acted like it was a centerpeice. It looked like it well after eatting we were sitting around talking and all of a sudden my stepbrother sticks a spoon in it and starts to eat it. lol everyone was grossed out at first b/c we didn't know it was edible. Once we tried it we all loved it and we use to make it often but for some reason we dont' anymore.

That is exactly what I am thinking of doing for Mothers Day. I think it would be fun to do.

Oh, how cute! Sounds very similar to the mudpies my daughter would make. I just mentioned that the other day, lol, http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/985576.aspx I have to say the flower is a very interesting variation. I'll have to share it with my daughter. :D

How cute. This is the link to the actual recipe but there were lots of other cute ideas on the link you provided. :) http://www.kinderart.com/kitchen/dirt.shtml I'll send her this link so she doesn't think about turning me into a grandma just yet, lol. Thanks for sharing. :)

This sounds like a fun thing that a father could do with his children for mom on Mothers Day. I am sure it would make a nice conversation piece at dinner. Thanks for sharing this. I will have to let you know how it goes.
