What do you think is the best FREE SOFTWARE FIREWALL out ther?

I have seen many freeware software firewall out there but which do you thinks is the best.

I would probably say that nividia firewall is the best but i have also been told that panda is good too

Try ZoneAlarm; I really think that is the best out there. But if you got a router, you don't really need a software firewall since all the routers contains one.

Thanks for the info but I think you still need a software firewall even though you already have a router.

There are only two free firewalls I've found that seem to stand up to everything. They are Kerio and AOL (McAfee Personal Firewall Express). They are more than traditional antihacker firewalls; they include IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems) to protect you from drive-by exploits on the web. ZoneAlarm Free was good a couple of years ago, but it has since been stripped all the way down to a plain, old SPI firewall. The only thing it will block is a classic port probe. Pretty much all personal firewalls do that now.
