Do you love or hate the scale?

I've heard some people say that they weigh themselves everyday and count the pounds daily. I actually hate the scale. I prefer to see the difference in the way my clothes fit instead of actual pounds. Plus, if I weigh myself and gain a pound or two (that could be water) I get depressed, so I'd rather not obsess over 1 or 2 pounds difference on a daily basis. Which do you think is more effective for maintaining & losing weight. What are your habits with the scale like?
