It happened in many times in my life. Most of the times happened when i was studying in Degree class. I was studying 50km far from my town. I used to go by train. We have a pass but sometime i will forget to take that and I never caught by TTE. Do you have such experience?

I have travelled by train without a ticket but it was honestly a mistake. We were ina gruop and rushing and in another country and totally confised and our main point was trying to get everybody on the right train at the right time from the right platform. We were about twenty minutes into our journey when suddenly realised we hadn't bought the tickets. It was an hour long trip but no conductors ever came by and we weren't caught or fined. I was completely worried the whole time, though.

Ha! Yes. In Amsterdam, trying to catch the last train to Den Haag, I had the wrong ticket and can't speak Dutch. Oh yeah there was also the time I was going to NY city. I got to Montreal to catch my train only to discover that I had left my ticket by the front door! In Ottawa. (2 hrs away)

I have not personally done this thing because I feared to be caught and put behind the bars in student life. I confess, with one of my friends i travelled thrice and didn't got caught. Again on the fourth time with two friends I was traveling, the journey in train ended we reached the destination and was to cross the overbridge and there was a huge crowd in the station. I didn't notice when my two friends got passed the gate of entry to the bridge. When I was just infront of the gate one civil dressed TTE came Ticket, now what can I do. I was puzzled, my presence of mind saved me. I told "my two friends has just crossed you giving three tickets to you, you can just catch them" but the TTE was at lost to find them in such a huge crowd and said "keep own ticket on own pockets" and left me to go. I saved. I never tried to make journey without ticket. That's my experience.
