Hi, regarding dinesh karthik, I'm sure he's got a promising career ahead and so far he has proved himself to be a thinking cricketer. He definitely has the capacity to lead our team in future. Now, seeing our other friends' comments, if dravid is a poor fielder and lacks stamina, then ganguly should also be dropped from the odi team for the same reason. Under ganguly's leadership, india had lost 8 out of 9 odi cup finals which is the worst record for a captain till date in cricketing world. Even in the last world cup where india reached the finals, if you care to see the records, it was only because of our bowlers and batsmen like tendulkar, dravid and sehwag we were able to reach till that stage. The contribution of ganguly was literally zero in all the matches as a player. He was lucky to be at the helm to share the honour. Before anybody tries to counter my argument, please see the match records and details for yourselves. Above all, if one cares to see the strike rate of ganguly, it is less than 80 which is pathetic for one dayers, especially when you consider others who have passed 10 thousand runs in odis. So, I hereby request all our friends to weigh all seniors with the same scale when criticizing or supporting. Thanks.

I think he is absolutely right.Karthik has proved to be a good batsman always when he has got a chance to.He is young and has got good calibre. He should be given more chances.

It could be true since greg chappel was a great observer of cricket rather than a good coach, he could be true but since dinesh kaarthik is not a star in the team, he could be dropped very soon with pressure of senior members in the team, which has been happening of late.

chappel had many things to say and bcci has done lot of the listening but what is the point when chappel himself is not there to nurture the young karthik
