friendship or more?

one of my friends did want us to go to the next level (next to friendship)... he said, it'll just ruin our friendship.. i cant understand it... i dont know what to say to him anymore... this feeling really .... whatever...

He wanted you to be more than friends but he said it will ruin your friendship? Shoot me back to earth, I think I left my wits. Let me just quote one of my...ehem...friend, "Romance wouldn't be so lovely without friendship. The best of lovers are the best of friends." :P

oops im so sorry guys... typo error on my discussion.. it should have been "did NOT want to go to the next level".... well, i dont think the feeling's mutual so , ... i think i should let him go then? it'll be hard though.. i loved him for 9 years...

Yes, in my view, you can be a friend and colleague with the same person, but must put these roles in a seperate baskets and perspectives. In other words, when you are at work, the role of being a colleague comes first. It is dangerous to mix them into one basket.

I think if you just want to be friends, then stay just friends. But actually, nothing will ruin your friendship unless you allow something to ruin it. If you have feelings for this friend of yours, and his feelings for you are just the same, then I think you should talk about on what to do with it coz' you might come to a point where you will have to let go of a beautiful friendship just because you found out that you're in love with each other.
