Yes i use yahoo groups ,and I am in many groups related to my university ...we use it to send messages that are important to all of us .I find it very useful, you send only one mail and all the other get it :d

Yes, I belong to Freecycle and Cheapcycle. They allow you to get rid of things you don't want by giving them away or selling them. They also allow you to find some really cheap or free items that others want to get rid of and you may need.
